Stirom was established back in 1966 under the name Fabrica de Articole de Sticla Bucuresti (FASB).
It was 100% state owned.

Currently, Stirom is the biggest Romanian glassware producer with an annual production capacity in excess of 500 million pieces.

1990

This is a landmark year for the future evolution of the Company. It becomes a joint stock company, registered with the Romanian Trade Register. The Company’s new name is Stirom S.A.

1997
|
Stirom is listed on Rasdaq, the Romanian capital market for trading shares.

1995
|
Stirom becomes a majority privately-owned Company, the majority shareholder being PAS STIROM.

2001
|
Stirom implements a Quality Management System and is certified according to the requirements of DIN EN ISO 9001:2000

2003
|
YIOULA GLASSWORKS S.A. acquires STIROM S.A.

2004
|
The brand new moulds workshop is inaugurated.

2006
|
Marks the beginning of an extensive investment program to further upgrade the production process. The program will incorporate three glass-melting furnaces rebuilt, and is expected to be realized by mid-2007.
